6/7th November, 2009: Al Ain Rugby Club hosting the Junior Rugby Sevens Tournament, saw Abu Dhabi Harlequins enter 2 teams in the U10s Competition for the players first competitive taste of the Sevens game.

In Group B with Exiles 1, Hurricanes 2, Exiles 3, Al Ain 2 and Sharjah 2, the Quins finished the pool stage in second place having beaten Hurricanes 2 (20-10), Sharjah 2 (60-0), Al Ain 2 (45-0) and Exiles 3 (30-0), losing to Exiles 1 (20-5). The Quins went on to the Cup Stage of the competition beating Exiles 2 (40-5) in the semis before losing to Exiles 1 (35-0) in the Final.

In Group A with Exiles 2, Hurricanes 1, Al Ain 1, Doha 1, Sharjah 1, the Quins had a tough draw and finished 5th in the pool stage having beaten Al Ain 1 (15-5), seeing their best performance of the tournament, with losses to Sharjah 1 (35-5), Hurricanes 1 (25-0), Doha 1 (35-5), Exiles 2 (45-0). The Quins went on to beat Al Ain 2 (20-5) in the Plate semis before losing to Al Ain 1s (20-15) in the Final.
FINAL POSITION: Bowl Runners Up
