By Car

Zayed Sports City has a number of entrances that you can use to reach the rugby ground.

Ice Rink Entrance (Gate 8)

From Dubai direction - head to Abu Dhabi and cross over the Maqta Bridge, get in the left hand lane and at the first set of traffic lights turn left. At roundabout take Ice Rink entrance into Zayed Sports City complex. Follow signs to Rugby car park.

Tennis Centre Entrance (Gate 16)

Entrance 16 is located off Khaleej Al-Arabi (30th Street), cross the Mussafah Bride, stay in the right hand lane and after 2kms follow the sign for Zayed Sports City and enter via gate 16 – signposted ‘ Youth and Community Buildings’ (which comes up quickly on the right, before you go around the bend). Follow signs to rugby car parks.

Will there be food and drink at the tournament?

Yes, food and beverages will be on sale each day, so arrive early for some breakfast! Please note that it is Zayed Sports City policy that no food, drink or picnics may be brought into the venue. Players, referees and match officials will receive a free lunch and drink voucher on each day of the tournament.

Will there be water and shade?

Yes, Al Ain Water will provide water for all players and tournament staff. Cool boxes with water will be easily accessible from each pitch. Shade will be provided by Zayed Sports City either within Club House or under gazebos adjacent to each pitch.

Will there be any extra entertainment?

Off the pitch Etihad Airways will provide entertainment for spectators and players in the form of rugby bungee running.

As part of their sponsorship of the 2010 Etihad Airways Junior Rugby Festival, HSBC will be running a specialist youth rugby coaching area within the main pitch area for Festival participants at all levels. All teams will have the opportunity to utilize coaching clinics across the two days of the Festival and team coaches are invited to utilise the area and equipment alongside the HSBC Penguins to facilitate specific team practices in a way that most suits their players. Coaches will be able to sign teams up for HSBC Penguins Coaching times on arrival at the Festival or just head down to the coaching area on the day.

Where is the car park?

You will be directed to the car park next to the rugby ground.

What else should we bring?

The weather will still be hot, so please bring sun screen, your own shade (umbrella/gazebo), something to sit on and a camera. No need to bring a picnic as you will find a range of food and beverage options at the ground.
