Friday 2nd October, 2009: Some of the junior sides began their season this weekend with some intra-club trial matches with the U16s and U18s opting for intra club trial matches.
Rory Greene had the following to say about the weekend;
“The weekend trial matches were a great opportunity for the coaches to give all their players a run out and try individuals in various positions prior to focusing on the important league fixtures and tournaments that are due to start in earnest in the next few weeks. It was a hot day for all the players and they should be congratulated on their efforts, especially against larger squads that could rotate their players more during the trial.”
