Folks a notice was sent out on Tuesday which may
not have reached all of you
it said
Due to an irregularity in the way
that the Election of Officers was conducted at this year’s AGM (each candidate
should have been seconded by two members according to the Constitution) the Abu
Dhabi Harlequins Rugby Club will be holding an EGM to re-elect members of the
Committee.
A second EGM will take place
immediately following the conclusion of the first to ratify a change in the
constitution to add a committee position, that of Membership
Secretary
Both these EGM's will take place on
Tuesday 7 July at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at 7pm.
Please note that this is NOT be
a full AGM and the above are the only items to be dealt
with

Morning all
Thanks to all those who attended the "Champions
Ball" on Friday... The folks at the Intercontinental have confirmed
that there was a fair amount of property left behind so please contact them to
see if anything you may have misplaced is there.
Moving on....
A reminder that this Thursday, the 4th June
2009 sees the Abu Dhabi Harlequins Rugby Club Annual
General Meeting taking place at the Crowne Plaza at
19h00!
Please make an effort to attend as it is a great forum to
provide feedback and suggestions as the club moves forward into the new
season
Hope to see you all there on Thursday
Thanks again to those who attended the Ball

All
Unfortunately someone
has mistakenly taken my dinner jacket last night and left their own at the
hotel.
Could I kindly ask all
those who were at the ball yesterday (including guests) and own a “Pierre
Cardin” DJ to check their jacket – the one left at the hotel is also a
Pierre Cardin jacket – but it has square lapels and is not mine. My jacket
has round lapels and purple edging to the inside pockets. It also has a
handkerchief and keychain in one of the pockets.
The jacket was first
noticed missing from table 41 around 1.30am.
Please call me on my
mobile if you have it or know where it may be.
Many thanks – and
hoping someone finds it.
