Evening all
A quick note of thanks to all who helped make this
Weekends tournament the success that it was
Without the Marshalls, Medics, Score Recorders,
Referees and the grounds staff from the Golf Club none of what was achieved
would have been possible
To Nick Cowell, our deep gratitude for all your
efforts in bringing the new sponsors on board and your tireless work over the
weekend making sure things ran smoothly on that front.
To Lesley Clark and Genville Johnson for the hours
spent sorting out hotels, busses etc etc, thank you
And finally to Guy Fulbrook, my personal thanks for
all the hours (to be counted in hundreds I'm sure!!) spent making sure the
tournament grows from strength to strength each year! You are a
legend

Dear Parents,
We have had a last minute request to provide billets
for 4 Under 14 players from Damascus
this weekend.
I need 2 families who are prepared to put up 2 boys each
for this weekend. Unfortunately if we can’t find somewhere for them
to stay, the Damascus
team are unable to come to the tournament.

Good Morning all
Just a quick reminder about this
weekend
We are hosting the 4th Annual Etihad
Airways Abu Dhabi Harlequins Junior Rugby Tournament which will take
place on the main pitch and the driving range at the Al Ghazal Golf Course on
Friday 14th and Saturday 15th with play starting at 8.30am on each
day!
We also see our Men's 1st (17h00) and 2nd XV
(19h00) in Action away in Dubai at "The Seven's" against the Dubai Dragons
and The Arabian Pot Bellies respectfully on Friday 14th.
Looking ahead, Friday the 21st sees a first for the
Club with three senior men's teams in action on the same day! All the games are
home games with times to be advised next week!
I look forward to seeing you all down at the
Tournament sometime over the weekend

Please find attached the marshals schedule for the main pitch
and the tent marshal on the driving range.
Any problems please let me know.
Pitch marshals for the driving range please contact your age
group manager.
Under 7s are struggling by all accounts. This is a huge age group
playing from 9.00 AM to 12.30 PM on Saturday only. Please help out and contact
your coach to offer your services.

Dear all,
Please find attached details of the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi
Harlequins Junior Rugby Tournament 2008.
- Your age group manager / coach
will provide you with the playing schedule and team selection over the
next day or so if they have not already done so. There will be slight
adjustments as teams are still messing us around.
- The response to this year’s
event has been substantial and therefore, in order to accommodate all
clubs and schools, we have had to restrict teams, not only for ADH but for
others too.
- Your age group manager will
inform age groups of the marshals’ schedule under separate mail.
- I will send out the marshal
arrangements for the U16 and U19 groups tomorrow.
- Thank you for volunteering your
services.
- Please read the Welcome Notes
as they will contain important aspects of parking, shuttle busses etc. for
the week end.
- Two rules that the golf club,
and not ADHRC, have imposed and they will police:
No outside food and beverages and
not pets. Food and beverages will be on sale throughout the two day event.
- ADHRC impose only one rule and that is everyone has an enjoyable time!
Please remember, there is no
training this Thursday.
If you are intending on using the various stands
during the tournament…….bring a cushion!!
